Pro tip: I quit handing out my business card at every event and my referrals doubled in 6 weeks
I used to walk into every local meetup in Santa Fe with 50 cards and shove them at anyone standing still, and I got maybe 2 calls back total. Last week I actually sat and talked to a guy running a 4 person landscaping company for 20 minutes about how he bids jobs, and he sent me 3 people who needed my help. Do the people in this group get more work from real conversations or from passing out cards?
