Am I the only one who realized my business is just a job I created for myself?
Two weeks ago I sat down with my bookkeeper in my office in Sacramento and she said the thing I had been avoiding for 3 years: my shop brings in $18k a month but I only take home $2,400. I built this thing from a card table in my garage and I thought owning it meant freedom, but I am the first one in and the last one out, six days a week. My old boss at the print shop told me back in 2019 that most owners just buy themselves a worse job, and I laughed at him. How do you actually step back without watching the whole thing fall apart?
