TIL my bullet journal turned a year-long visa wait into a manageable countdown.

I logged each check-in and update. It stopped me from stressing over the slow process.

But seriously, what did you actually write down each time? Like, was it just the date you called, or did you note the mood you were in that day too? Turning a huge wait into small, checked-off boxes seems like it would change how your brain sees the whole thing.

Noting your mood like "weirdly okay today" is such a smart way to deal with waiting.

Yeah, the "small, checked-off boxes" thing is exactly it... I did something similar when I was waiting for some test results last year. For me, it wasn't just the date of a call. I'd put the date, then like "called clinic, left message with nurse." And then I'd honestly write my mood in a few words right after... "felt nervous" or "weirdly okay today." Seeing it all on paper turned this big, scary wait into just a list of things I did and felt. It stopped it from being a huge cloud in my head.
