Hot take: My fancy $60 bullet journal pen was a total letdown

I bought a Sakura Pigma Micron 08 from that art store on Elm Street because everyone raves about them. After two weeks the tip got all fuzzy and the ink started bleeding through my Leuchtturm1917 pages. Honestly, I had better luck with a $2 Pilot G2 I grabbed at the gas station. Has anyone else found that expensive markers just don't hold up for daily journaling?

Drama over a pen that cost less than dinner" - yeah but dinner doesn't let you down when you're trying to get your thoughts down, right? I gotta ask though, were you using the Micron on that specific Leuchtturm paper because those notebooks are known for being picky with ink... like some pens just get weird on coated paper. Did you try it on a different notebook first?

Seems like a lot of drama over a pen that cost less than dinner.

Man, I'm the guy who loses his dinner money in a parking meter and then tries to fish it back out with a bent paperclip... so I get the drama. But yeah, a pen's a pen until you're on your third cup of coffee and it decides to betray you on the last sentence. Wouldn't trade my cheap click-balls for a high-maintenance pen though, I've got enough headaches chasing rodents out of attics.
