Rant: People who call any sandwich an 'architecture' need to stop

Went to a new deli yesterday in Austin and the guy behind me was describing his pastrami on rye like it was a building project. Talking about 'structural integrity' and 'moisture barriers'. Dude its just bread meat and cheese. Ive noticed this trend online too where every food review talks about layers and engineering. Its food not a house. Why do we gotta make everything sound fancy instead of just saying it tastes good? Has anyone else had to sit through someone describing a grilled cheese like its a skyscraper?

Does this happen more with certain types of guys? I feel like every time I see a guy in his 30s describing a burger like its a suspension bridge hes got a beard and an IPA and probably works in tech. Is it just me or is this a specific breed of dude who does this? My brother in law does this with BBQ and its exhausting. He spent 10 minutes at a brisket place talking about the "bark to fat ratio" and I just wanted to eat my sandwich. Why do they have to turn food into some kind of performance art?

Is it mostly dudes in tech who talk like that, or have you seen it in other fields too?
