Back in 2019 I worked at a coffee shop on South Congress and my manager kept giving me the 6am open shifts even after I moved 45 minutes away, and I just ate it for months thinking I was being a team player. Then a coworker quit and texted me "he does that to whoever won't push back, it's not about who's reliable" and it hit me that 4 different people had quit that same position in under a year. Was I really the problem for being slow on those opens, or was he just using me because I never complained?
