Spent $60 on a VHS lot from a garage sale in Omaha, got 3 good tapes and 27 moldy ones
Half of you would say a $60 gamble on a milk crate of unlabeled tapes is insane, but the other half knows that one weird dub of a 1987 action movie with swapped audio tracks makes it all worth it. I found a Japanese TV cut of Die Hard with newscaster voiceovers during the action scenes, plus two tapes so moldy my VCR sounded like it was chewing gravel. Is it smarter to buy tested single tapes at $15 each or keep rolling the dice on mystery lots?
