Just spent 45 minutes looking for a single zombie miniature under the table
I dropped it during a tense round of Dead of Winter and we had to pause the whole game. Anyone else lose tiny pieces way more often than you'd expect?

Hold up, did you actually find it stuck to your sock or was that a different piece? Because I swear, my carpet eats dice and minis for breakfast, I've pulled a tiny meeple out of a floor vent before. How do these things even travel that far from the table, are they crawling away on their own? I'm starting to wonder if I should just search my shoes and the couch cushions before even looking at the floor.

Man, that's exactly the kind of thing that happens to me at least once a session. I once spent 20 minutes looking for a single blue die from Pandemic that rolled under the couch, only to find it later stuck to my sock. It's like these tiny pieces have a secret mission to escape the game board.

jamie_smith you said "my carpet eats dice and minis for breakfast" but I gotta say, I don't think it's the carpet eating them. I think it's our socks and our chair wheels that do the sneaky work. I've had a mini fall into the gap between the couch cushion and the armrest, and it took me ten minutes of digging just to find it wedged in there. The carpet just holds them still so we can't see them. And yeah, I've definitely pulled a tiny zombie out of my shoe after a game night, it's like they hitch a ride. So it's less about the carpet itself and more about how they get stuck to us or kicked under things without us noticing.
