TIL the old anvil at my grandpa's farm was made in 1904 and still rings true
I always thought it was just some rusty hunk of junk until I wire brushed the side and found a stamp that read 1904. I read online that a lot of old anvils from that era were made with a wrought iron body and a tool steel face, which is why they hold up so well. Anyone else ever find a date or maker's mark on a hand-me-down anvil?
