Why does nobody warn you that quitting your job at 34 hits different than at 22
I walked out of my office in Cincinnati on a Friday in March 2019 with no plan at all, just a duffel bag and a one way ticket to my parents place. I was 22 and I figured I could bounce back in like 3 weeks, and weirdly I did, got a job at a pizza place by week 2. Fast forward to 34 and I did the same thing, quit a job I hated on a Tuesday with about $2,100 saved up. The second time felt way scarier because I had a car payment and my back hurts when I sit on a couch wrong now. Nobody told me the fear changes from "what if I fail" to "what if this was my only good setup" and that part caught me off guard. Anyone else notice the age thing makes the same decision feel totally different?
