Spent $340 on a moving truck when my buddy's trailer was free the whole time
I moved out of my apartment in Tucson last month and panicked about the logistics, so I booked a 15 foot truck for $340 with gas and insurance. Two days later my neighbor asked why I didn't just use his flatbed trailer, which he would have let me borrow for free. I did the math and that $340 was basically my whole food budget for the next three weeks. I'm proud I pulled the move off on my own, but that one stings. Has anyone else paid for something the hard way before checking with the people around them first?
