Quit my 6 year teaching job after one parent meeting

Walked out last Tuesday after a parent screamed at me in front of the class over a B minus on a project. That was the 3rd time this semester someone threatened to call the school board. I packed my desk in 20 minutes and drove home with no plan. Now I'm sorting through job boards at 2am wondering if I ruined my career for nothing. Anyone else bail on a stable job with zero backup, and how did you survive the first two weeks?

Heard a podcast about teachers leaving mid-year, and most said the first month is pure chaos but it gets better.
