Appreciation post: the week a local race team brought us 23 bikes for a full pre-season check

It was the first week of March, and a local amateur race team dropped off their entire fleet for a tune-up. We had 23 bikes stacked in the shop, all needing the same basic service. The debate in the shop was about the best way to handle it. One mechanic argued we should do a full, detailed check on each bike individually, which would take days. I thought we should set up an assembly line for the common tasks like brake bleeds and drivetrain cleaning to save time. We went with the line method and got it all done in three long days. The team was thrilled with the turn-around. Has anyone else had a big batch job like that, and how did you organize the work?

Smart call, that assembly line idea saved you a ton of time.

Totally, it's crazy how often the simple fix is the best one.

Used to swear by individual checks, but that line method totally changed my mind.
