Okay but @wilson.uma has a point... volcanoes are just cooler. Flat maps can't compete with something you built yourself. All that cutting and pasting, it shows you cared. Even if it explodes or looks funny, it's memorable. Honestly, the best projects are the ones that make a mess. Makes you wonder why they even allow flat things.
