Rant: A guy at a Vegas conference told me to stop calling myself a 'truther' and it actually helped
I met a retired talk radio host at a conference in Vegas two years ago and he said the label 'truther' kills any chance of a real talk before you even open your mouth. I ignored him for months, kept using it, and watched my comments fill up with name calling instead of actual debate. So why do we keep reaching for words that make people stop listening before we even make our point?
