Remember when a wire transfer took three days and you had to call the bank to check?
I had to send money to my niece for her college books last fall. The online form asked for a routing number and an account number, which I had. But it also wanted a specific address for her bank branch. I didn't have that. The system kept rejecting it with a generic error. I spent over an hour on hold with my bank's help line. The first person told me to use the bank's main headquarters address. That didn't work. The second person said to use the address from her check. I had to call my niece to get a picture of her check. From start to finish, it took nearly four hours to send $150. It made me miss the old days of just writing a check and mailing it. Has anyone else hit a weird roadblock like that with a simple transfer?

Oh my god, that's the worst. They make it digital but add all these new hoops to jump through. I mean, it's supposed to be easier, not a scavenger hunt for a bank branch address.

Remember when they tried to make library cards digital? I had to fax a copy of my birth certificate to a number that was always busy.

Scavenger hunt for a bank branch address" is exactly what it felt like. Did this place really expect people to just have a fax machine sitting around?
