My credit union told me a $4.50 fee was cheaper than the $35 overdraft, and I never knew that was an option
Last month I called my credit union in Spokane about a payment that was going to bounce and push me negative on a Friday. The rep said they could set up a 'courtesy transfer' from my savings for a $4.50 fee instead of letting the $140 charge trigger a $35 overdraft. I had no idea that was even a thing you could ask for. She also said most people never call, they just eat the fees. Does anyone else's bank offer this, or is it just smaller credit unions?
