Vent: the church potluck bake sale ruined my sourdough reputation
Last saturday at the First Methodist bake sale in Akron, someone put my 12 hour proofed loaves next to a basket of store bought dinner rolls with no labels. People grabbed the rolls and left my crusty artisan ones sitting there until 4pm. I watched a lady poke 5 of my loaves and say they looked too hard. Now I tape a card with my name, bake date, and a note that says dont squeeze, right on the bag. Anybody else have their stuff get ignored because of clueless display setups?
