My first sourdough starter died in 2019, this one has been going for 8 months in my fridge

Back in 2019 I killed three starters in a row because I kept forgetting to feed them and gave up on bread for a while. Last month I pulled a jar out from the back of the fridge that I started in July and it doubled in 4 hours, best loaf I've made. Does anyone else name their starter or is that just a weird thing I do?
