Kept a whiteboard on our fridge for every roommate rule, tossed it after 2 months
Back in January I spent $18 on a whiteboard and wrote 11 house rules on it, stuff like dishes done by 9pm and no laundry past 10. My roommate Dave ignored every single one, so in March I switched to just texting him when something bugged me and it worked way better. Turns out one short text beats a whole wall of rules. Anyone else found that the weird stuff stops when you ditch the house charter and just talk?
