Took me 4 months to admit the 2005 Fantastic Four movie is my comfort film, and here is how I finally stopped hiding it
I kept a DVD copy in a shoebox under my bed in Bakersfield because my ex roommates would have roasted me for it. One night I just put it on the living room TV while folding laundry and said yeah, I like this, and nobody cared. Chris Evans as Johnny Storm still cracks me up every single time, that is the whole defense. What is the one movie you like that you still feel weird admitting?

I saw that movie in theaters back in 2005 and spent years acting like it was a dumb guilty pleasure. Then I rewatched it last year with my nephew and realized the whole thing is just fun, the scene where Johnny snowboards on the Silver Surfer is still great. Chris Evans plays that cocky guy so well that it carries the whole movie. I was wrong to be embarrassed about it.
