I finally saw the before and after in The Room after watching it 3 times

Tommy Wiseau's movie gets trashed for being a disaster but the second time I caught how the football scene actually builds tension on purpose. Then on the third watch I noticed the rooftop dialogue matches the subplot about betrayal. Has anyone else caught hidden layers in a movie people call unwatchable?

That's exactly how it goes with stuff people write off too quick. Reminds me of how some old tools or tricks of the trade seem pointless at first, but you eventually realize they were designed for a specific problem you just hadn't run into yet. Ever notice how a bad first impression can hide something real solid underneath?

You ever try watching a movie you HATED the first ten minutes of, only to end up loving it? I had that happen with an old blues record I found at a garage sale. The cover was all torn and the first track sounded like someone dropped their guitar down a staircase. I almost tossed it, but then I let it play through while I was cleaning my truck. By the fourth song I was sitting there with a beer, just listening. Now it's in my regular rotation and I'll fight anyone who calls it junk. Sometimes you gotta give stuff room to breathe before you write it off for good.
