I actually like The Last Airbender movie and here's why

Saw it opening weekend in 2010 at a packed theater in Austin. Everyone was booing by the end but I sat there thinking it wasn't that bad. The bending choreography looked cool to me even if they messed up the names. I rewatched it last year with my 6th graders during a rainy day and they actually paid attention the whole time. Yeah the dialogue is clunky and the accents are weird but the visual effects hold up decently for a 2010 film. Has anyone else found a movie they like that everyone else trashes?

Hold onto your sixth graders, they're your target audience for that one.

Man people act like M. Night Shyamalan personally burned their DVD collection or something. It's a goofy kids movie with some decent visual effects, not a war crime. You let sixth graders watch it for an hour and they were fine, that's basically the whole market right there.

Oh come on, people are way too dramatic about this. It's not like the movie stole their lunch money or anything. Yeah the dialogue is clunky and the plot makes zero sense if you think about it for more than five seconds, but it's literally made for kids to zone out to on a Friday afternoon. Some of y'all act like every movie has to be The Godfather or it's automatically trash.
