Can we talk about 'The Last Airbender' movie

I was at a friend's house in Austin and they put it on as a joke. Everyone groaned, but I sat through the whole thing. The bending effects, like when the kid moves the water ball, actually looked pretty solid to me. It's not the show, but as a simple fantasy flick, it's fine. Has anyone else found a movie they're supposed to hate but just don't?

I mean, the bending effects were fine, it's just a movie.

That's how every bad Netflix adaptation gets defended.

@the_lee I get what you're saying about the bending effects but the real issue is the story and characters felt completely flat. Like they just copied the visuals without understanding what made the show work in the first place lol.
