Appreciation post: I used to think 'Battlefield Earth' was just a joke, now I see the fun in it
For years, I'd only heard the bad stuff about the 2000 sci-fi movie with John Travolta. I finally watched it on a rainy Sunday in Seattle, and I get it now. The over-the-top acting and weird camera angles make it feel like a wild comic book, not a serious film. Has anyone else found a movie they love that's known for being terrible?

But is it really that deep?

Man, it absolutely is that deep. You see this everywhere, park.robin, people brushing off stuff that actually matters. It's like we're trained to make everything seem simple so we don't have to deal with the real weight of it. That habit keeps us from fixing anything because we never admit the problem is big. So yeah, it's usually deeper than we want it to be.

Whoa wait, you're saying people are trained to oversimplify stuff, like on purpose?
