Rant: what should have been a 30 minute printer fix ate my whole Friday

My boss told me to swap the toner in the big copier and I figured 20 minutes tops. Well the stupid machine kept throwing a jam error even after I changed it. Three hours later and three YouTube videos deep I found out a tiny piece of plastic from the old cartridge was stuck inside. I lost my whole afternoon to a quarter inch chunk of garbage. Has anyone else had a printer just decide to ruin your whole day for no reason?

The amount of printer rage I've seen in my life is honestly staggering. That tiny piece of plastic is exactly the kind of thing that makes you want to launch the whole machine out a window. It's always something so small and dumb too, like a stray paperclip or a crumb from someone's snack. I swear printers have a sixth sense for when you're in a hurry and decide to punish you for it.

Nah, printers get a bad rap, most issues are just people not reading the manual or cleaning them once in a while.
