I used to send the "thinking of you" email to my boss at 6:55pm every Friday, 2 years of it, until our office in Dayton got audited
I figured looking busy after hours was free job insurance, but when the auditor pulled my badge logs next to my email timestamps, the gap was obvious to everyone in the room. Now I just leave at 5 like a normal person, so what is the one habit you kept up way too long just to look good?
