PSA: I finally beat the 11pm phone scroll by putting my charger in the laundry room
For about 3 years my nightly routine was terrible. I would get in bed around 10, tell myself I'd just check one thing, and then suddenly it's 1am and I've watched 40 videos about people restoring old tractors. Last Tuesday I finally snapped when my alarm went off at 6:15 and I felt like a zombie at work. So I did something dumb simple. I moved my phone charger from my nightstand to the laundry room, which is on the other side of my apartment. Now when I go to bed, my phone stays out there. The first 2 nights were honestly awful. I laid there staring at the wall like an idiot, but by night 4 I was asleep before 11 without even trying. My screen time report says I'm down from 5 hours a day to 2 hours 20 minutes, mostly because I stopped that late night spiral. I still grab it first thing in the morning which is its own problem lol. Anyone else try moving where you charge your phone, or did you have to go full cold turkey with a dumb phone?
