My uncle's 'funny' slideshow at Easter dinner went on for 45 minutes

He insisted on showing every single photo from his 1998 trip to Branson, complete with commentary. It completely killed the vibe and we missed dessert. Anyone else have a relative who just doesn't know when to stop a presentation?

My cousin's 2004 Yellowstone trip slideshow taught me to always have an exit plan. I started setting a phone alarm for 20 minutes and pretending it's an important call I have to take. You can step out, and it often gives other people the hint to wrap things up too. It's way better than just suffering through the whole thing.

My friend's dad once screened his entire 1993 corporate training video at a birthday party. We saw the whole thing.

But come on @uma685, was it really that bad? At least you got some free entertainment out of it!
