I dropped $60 on a folding chair to survive my aunt's 4 hour Thanksgiving dinner and it was the best cash I ever spent
My aunt in Sacramento does this thing where dinner starts at 2pm and nobody leaves the table until she cuts the pie, which is always around 6. Her dining chairs are those old spindle back ones that dig into your spine after about 45 minutes. Two holidays back I showed up with a $60 folding camp chair in my trunk, the padded kind with a cup holder, and just set it up at the end of the table like it was normal. My cousin laughed at me until hour three when she was shifting around in her seat and I was still comfy, and now three other people bring their own chairs too. Does anyone else have a family member whose dinner is basically an endurance event?
