Hot take: I picked my mom's green bean casserole over my aunt's cornbread dressing at Thanksgiving and I'm still hearing about it
At our family dinner in Fort Worth last November I had one plate and had to choose between my mom's casserole and my aunt's dressing, so I went with the casserole since mom was watching from the kitchen doorway. My aunt noticed, said "well I guess mine wasn't good enough," and refused to pass me the gravy for the rest of the night while my dad just stared at his plate. Has anyone else had to pick between two dishes at a holiday meal, and how did you handle the fallout?
