Hit 1,000 repairs logged today, surprised myself

Tbh I never really kept track of my work until a few months ago. Started logging every avionics fix I did in a little notebook, just out of boredom. Today I hit 1,000 repairs and it kinda blew my mind. Seeing that number made me realize how much I've actually learned, especially with troubleshooting old radar systems. What really convinced me was flipping back through the early pages and noticing how slow my fixes were back then. Has anyone else ever counted up their total jobs or repairs? It's a weird motivator.

Yeah I mean I get the whole "seeing the numbers go up" thing but is it really that deep? Like you fixed a bunch of engines, cool, but are you actually better or did you just get faster at doing the same stuff? I logged my work for a month once and realized half the time I was just getting quicker at the easy jobs (which is fine I guess) but the hard stuff still took just as long. Not trying to rain on the parade, just saying maybe it's not some huge life lesson.

Did you find yourself getting way faster at certain things without even noticing? I started tracking my engine work a couple years back and seeing the numbers go up really pushed me to keep going even on the rough days.
