Hot take: I finally started using a creeper after my back yelled at me in a Napa parking lot
I always thought creepers were for guys who couldn't handle laying on cardboard, and I got by fine for 12 years with a flattened Amazon box and a moving blanket. Then last month I was doing brakes on my neighbor's Civic in my driveway in Mesa, and after about 45 minutes of sliding around on gravel I stood up and my lower back locked up so bad I had to lean on the fender. My neighbor, who's 61 and still turns wrenches part time, walked over and said 'you know they make a thing for that, right?' and rolled his creeper out of his garage. I used it for the other side and finished the job in half the time without crawling on rocks. I bought my own the next day for $42, the plastic one with the big casters, and I've used it on every job since. Anyone else hold out on a basic tool way longer than they should have? What finally made you cave?
