PSA: I always hated how close my boss watched my work, but when I messed up a client order, that extra check saved my job.

Feel that pain, man. My last boss timed bathroom breaks and would literally lean in to watch every single keystroke. Drove me nuts until I almost sent a whole price list to the wrong client. He caught it because he was, of course, reading over my shoulder at that exact second. That kind of watchful eye is the worst until it’s suddenly the only thing between you and a total disaster.

Yeah until it's not. That kind of stress just sets you up to fail.

Ever notice how that kind of pressure just makes you mess up more? @daniel_wright29 I mean, it's like once someone's breathing down your neck, your brain just goes blank. We had a chef who would scream if tickets piled up, and idk, maybe it's just me but the second he started yelling was when I'd drop a whole pan or mix up orders. That watchful eye thing feels helpful until you realize it's what caused the slip in the first place.
