Am I the only one who thinks 'thank you' notes are dying out?

My aunt sent me a handwritten thank you card last month after I helped her move some furniture. It got me thinking, I haven't written one in like 3 years. Everyone just texts or sends a quick message now. Is that bad or just how things are now? Has anyone else noticed this shift or am I just old lol?

Does anyone actually leave conversations open ended on purpose to avoid the anxiety of waiting for a reply? It's like a weird power move with texts.

Yeah thomas275 nailed it, a quick text basically means the same thing now without the paper cut.
