Tried a $10 breakfast meetup in Tempe instead of the big mixer and got 3 real leads
I usually go to the big Phoenix chamber mixers but honestly I never get much out of them besides a stack of cards. So two weeks ago I tried a small breakfast group in Tempe that only lets in about a dozen people, and it cost me $10 to cover coffee and a bagel. What surprised me was that everyone had to stand up and say exactly what they needed help with, no fluff, and one guy asked for a good CPA referral. By the end I had three follow up meetings booked, which has never happened at a 200 person event. I think the small group format forces people to actually connect instead of just swapping cards and moving on. Has anyone else had luck with a smaller meetup over the big networking events around the valley?
