Took a chance at a Mesa networking mixer and got 2 solid leads

I almost didn't go to that Wednesday morning event at the coffee shop on Main Street. Figured I'd just grab a drink and leave after 20 minutes. But I ended up talking to a real estate agent who needed a web designer and a guy who runs a landscaping crew. Just by asking what their biggest frustration was this month, I learned way more than any elevator pitch could do. Has anyone else had better luck at casual mixers vs the big formal luncheons?

Yeah totally agree @ben206! I've had my best luck hitting up people on Wed mornings too, feels like they're way more chill and open to chatting before the week gets crazy.

Read something the other day about timing actually. Said Wednesday mornings people are more open because they're past Monday panic but not yet in Thursday crunch. Makes sense right? Always found that around 10am on Wednesdays folks are still in that "productive but not stressed" zone. Good window for a real conversation not just small talk.
