Just realized the mixer at my Phoenix lunch spot books more deals than the keynote speaker did
Went to a Chamber mixer in Tempe last week and watched a guy spend 15 minutes working the room with his pitch, while the woman next to me just asked people what they were stuck on and walked out with 3 follow up lunches. People think networking is about talking, but the ones who actually land work here are the ones asking questions and shutting up. Anyone else notice the loudest person in the room is rarely the one getting calls after?
