Update: I thought the burned layer at a dig near Flagstaff was just a campfire, and the lab proved me wrong
Spent two weeks in April bagging charcoal from what I swore was a modern fire pit, and the radiocarbon came back at 1,200 years old. Turns out it was a roasting pit with bone fragments still in it. Anyone else had a lab report flip their whole read on a feature?
