Bought a battery pole saw for a job last week, and the trees hated it as much as I did
Got a small battery pole saw for a fence line cleanup job in Fresno last week, mostly because I was tired of hauling the gas one through a narrow side gate. The cut was slow but clean, and I actually finished the row of small limbs faster than normal, so I figured I was onto something. Then I got to a 6 inch limb and the thing just died partway through, and I had to finish it with a hand saw while the homeowner watched me from the porch. I think the battery saw is fine for anything under 3 inches, but I'm not leaving the gas rig at home again just to save a trip. Anyone here run a small battery saw on light trimming all day, or do you just bring both and deal with the weight?
