Hot take: the anime section at my local library in Fresno is 90% Naruto and it's killing the whole point
I go there every other Saturday with my kid and it's the same thing. Two full shelves, and one and a half of them are Naruto, Boruto, and every spinoff in between. Maybe 12 volumes of anything else. I asked the librarian if they take requests and she pulled up a form that hasn't been updated in what looks like 15 years. Meanwhile the manga section at the bookstore 2 miles away has a better spread than a public building funded by my taxes. Is this normal for smaller cities or is Fresno just cursed? And has anyone actually gotten their library to stock better stuff?
