A weird thing happened at the Portland anime con last year
I was in line for a panel and this guy, Ken, started talking about how he only watches anime on his phone now. He said he doesn't even own a TV, which I thought was wild. It made me wonder how many people are watching shows that way, and if it changes how we talk about them. Do you think the screen you watch on changes how you feel about an anime?

Actually, I still have a TV (it's old). But I watch a lot of stuff on my phone too, like when I'm on the bus. It's a different vibe for sure, you miss some of the big details.

Yeah man I tried watching blade runner on my phone once and couldn't see a thing in those dark scenes.

Yeah, watching on a phone totally changes it. Like, I tried to watch a movie with a ton of background art on my phone and just gave up, I couldn't see any of the cool stuff. It feels more like just following the story than really getting into the world, you know?
