Tried letting ChatGPT plan my entire dinner party and it suggested a cheese fountain

I thought I'd get fancy so I asked the AI to build a menu for 6 people with a $100 budget. It came back with a three course plan that centered around a chocolate fountain and then a separate cheese fountain. The shopping list included 4 blocks of cheddar and a bag of pretzel sticks. I learned that AI doesn't understand the difference between a party and a county fair. Has anyone else's AI meal plan gone totally off the rails like this?

4 blocks of cheddar and pretzel sticks for a dinner party is insane but honestly I probably would have just rolled with it if I didn't have any friends to impress. One time I asked it to plan a cheap date night and it told me to bring a thermos of box wine to a free park concert and then get tacos from a gas station. I actually did it and it was kind of a disaster but at least the cheese fountain sounds more fun than lukewarm merlot in a parking lot.

The gas station tacos part is what gets me... like that AI clearly has never actually eaten a gas station taco past 10pm. I live in Arizona where we have actual decent gas station food and even then it's a gamble. But here's the thing nobody's pointing out - the cheese fountain idea is actually brilliant for a specific kind of party. My buddy runs a DIY fondue setup every year for the Super Bowl and people lose their minds over it. Melted cheddar with pretzels is basically elevated stadium food, just slap some whole grain mustard on the side and suddenly it's classy. The AI just forgot to tell you to call it a "cheddar fountain" instead of "four blocks of cheese" so it sounds less like a toddler's birthday party.
