Shoutout to the laundromat on 5th Street for changing my whole view on city living
I used to HATE going to the laundromat. Thought it was just a place where you sit around bored and watch your clothes spin. But last month I started going to this one on 5th Street because my building's machines broke down. And honestly? I was totally wrong. The place is clean, there's free WiFi, and I met this older guy who showed me how to fold fitted sheets in like 10 seconds. Plus I saved $12 because I didn't have to run my own dryer at home. Now I go there on purpose every other Tuesday just for the change of pace. Has anyone else found a weird spot that made them rethink something boring?

That laundromat sounds like a hidden gem. Found something similar at a diner near my place. Went in for bad coffee and toast one hungover morning, ended up chatting with the waitress for an hour. She gave me a map of all the best taco spots within walking distance. Now I go back every Sunday just for the coffee and the conversation. Crazy how a boring place can turn into your favorite spot if the right people are there.

Huh, never really thought about it like that before. I always just saw places as either good or bad based on the food or the vibe, not the people making it happen. This whole take makes me want to give that sketchy diner by my office another shot, honestly.
