Heads up on those cheap gutter cleaning deals from flyers

Honestly, I paid $150 for a 'full clean and flush' from a crew that came through my neighborhood. They just sprayed the surface leaves and left all the packed mud in the elbows, which caused an overflow that wrecked a section of my stucco foundation after the next rain. Has anyone found a local company that actually does the elbow work right?

Ugh, that's the worst. Those packed down corners are the whole problem. A good crew will actually scoop out the gunk by hand at the downspout connections, not just rely on water pressure. I had to show the last guy the wet dirt he missed, and he just shrugged. Now I watch them like a hawk and point at every elbow before they start.

Actually, a good crew will use a pressure washer on those downspout elbows, not just their hands. The water force gets the packed mud out better than scooping. I get why @sammoore was mad about the shrug, but sometimes the wet dirt is just from the final rinse, not missed gunk.
