Found an intact food court clock after 4 visits to the old Parkway Mall
I've been hitting the abandoned Parkway Mall outside Scranton for a while now, mostly picking through the anchor store ruins. On my 4th trip this past Saturday, I spotted a big analog clock still hanging above the food court seating area. The battery was dead but the face was clean, no cracks, and the minute hand was frozen at 2:47. I carefully took it down and it's sitting on my workbench now. Anyone else ever salvage something small that felt like a huge victory, or do you leave the decor stuff alone?

Oh man, that clock is way cooler than anything I've ever dragged out of a dead mall! My big score was a slightly melted plastic fern from a Chili's that closed in 2003. I hung it in my bathroom and my boyfriend swears it's haunted, but honestly it just reminds me to water my real plants. You got a working timepiece out of the deal, even if it's stuck at 2:47 forever, which honestly sounds like the perfect time to take a nap. I'd say that's a solid win, way better than my luck with rusty chairs and old menus!
